The GrillGirlz Story
After the world paused in the early months of 2020, Mallory Burke- the creator, owner, and CEO of GrillGirlz LLC decided quickly that there needed to be a safe way to acquire income. Considering the requirement of masks and the social distancing recommondation, Mallory wanted to give back to her community by offering something that could still benefit people without the risk of spreading or getting COVID-19. In her backyard on a sweltering summer day, GrillGirlz was born.
Mallory spent time researching grill cleaning methods and used her knowledge from current chemistry courses to develop a method of her own that not only cleaned but protected the grill, inside and out. She hired her three sisters and together they cleaned 57 grills in the first 3 months.
It was not long before the entire neighborhood knew about the girls that lived down the street that could transform any old grill into something that looked brand-new! The sisters started to advertise and hire more employees to help fufill the demand for clean grills across the Chicagoland area.
GrillGirlz has been operating for 6 years and has cleaned 450 grills and counting. Their services have expanded from the Chicagoland area to Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
"It is amazing what can come out of an hour of cleaning a grill," states the youngest Burke girl, Karly. "Just when you think it is time to buy a brand new grill, we can add years onto the life of your backyard best friend."
